Louise Jackson Smith

COLFAX-Louise Jackson Smith, 91, went to be with her Lord, Monday, December 22, 2014. She was born August 6, 1923 in Union Co. to the late Henry Bascomb and Mary Eva Sims Jackson.

Mrs. Smith was a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church. Louise had a very big heart; she loved helping other people and always put them before herself.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Smith; son, Ray Smith; and daughter, Barbara Newsome.

Surviving are her two daughters, Carol Hayden, and Lynn Farrington and husband, Roger all of Colfax; twelve grandchildren; twenty two great-grandchildren; seventeen great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Peggy Martin of Kernersville.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Smith Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Peters, Rev. Lenny Rogers and Rev. Wayne Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
