Lowell Phillip Vineyard of Winston-Salem was born on December 15, 1952 and passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the Kate B Reynolds Hospice Home after a battle with cancer. Phil was born in Wilmington, DE, spent a number of years in Baltimore, MD and lived the majority of his life in North Carolina. Phil's hobbies included flying, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and restoring his '58 Corvette but mostly spending time with his friends and family. Phil concluded his pilot career with Omni Air International, his last assignment as captain on a DC-10 aircraft was transporting our military troops in and out of Kuwait. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Pat, his daughter Stephanie of Cornelius, his grandchildren Dillon and Carly. Lowell is predeceased by his father John, his mother Lucille, and his brother Gregory, all of Ashe County. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Kate B Reynolds Hospice Home. The visitation will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2017 between 5pm and 7pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel located in Winston-Salem, at 3315 Silas Creek Parkway. A service will follow at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kate B Reynolds Hospice Home 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
