Loy Ven Settle

Mrs. Loy Ven Fulk Settle, 76, went home to be the Lord Sunday Morning, July 23, 2017 at her residence. She was born April 3, 1941 in Surry County to the late Brady Clarence Fulk, and Lalah Golden Fulk. Loy was a dedicated wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and will be dearly missed by her family. The smile on her face was as bright and refreshing as the rising sun in the morning and everybody who knew her was blessed by her compassion for people. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Benny Fulk. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Joe Harold Settle; two daughters, Kim Bowman, Karen Shore (Keith); one son, Kevin Settle (Cheryle); five grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Penny Brown Hamby (John), Ledelphia Atwood, several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor Rob Sizemore officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 P.M.
