Lucille Hartman Mathis

Mrs. Lucille Hartman Mathis, 84, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at home. She was born May 27, 1933 in Richmond County, NC to the late Reggie and Nina Mabe Hartman. Mrs. Mathis retired from Sara Lee in 1993. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and working jigsaw puzzles. Most of all she loved her Lord. Preceding her in death was her husband, John Lee Mathis; sister, Letitia Mathis and a brother, Raleigh Hartman. Surviving are two daughters, Scarlet Bennette (Matthew) and Connie Crews (Sonny); two very special grandchildren, Heather Crews and Wesley Crews (Bethany); also surviving is a sister, Agusta Hale and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Pastor Randy Wall and Pastor Josh Boles officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 377 Hospital St. Suite 103, Mocksville, NC 27028.
