Lucille Luffman Maynard

Lucille Luffman Maynard passed away peacefully on September 26, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on July 7, 1925 to Ruth Mae Love Luffman and Triley Eli Luffman in Wilkes County. Lucille was a member of Winston-Salem First for over 50 years. Serving the Lord was her life's passion. Reading his word was her daily delight. In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters. Survivors include two sons, Steve Maynard (Debbie), and Rick Maynard (Crystal); four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Billy Luffman (Louise); and sisters, Pearl Simmerson, Rachel Smith, and Margaret Baker; as well as numerous nephews and nieces. A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Elwood Rakes officiating.
