Lucille Potter

Winston-Salem, NC-Mrs. Lucille Cash Potter, 92 passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 at her residence after she fought a courageous 15-year battle with cancer. She was born March 4, 1926 in Cherokee County, SC, the daughter of Claude and Olema Greene Cash. Raised in Cherokee County, SC, she was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, a member and past president of Tanglewood Ladies Golf Association and a member of Mountainbrook Garden Club. A very gracious southern lady, Lucille loved to paint, sew, take trips and play Bridge, belonging to several Bridge Clubs in the area. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Potter; two sisters, Juanita Cook and Joyce Wren and two brothers, Winifred Cash and Keith Cash. Survivors include her two daughters, Pamela Henderson (Michael) of Las Cruces, NM and Sandra Reynolds of Greensboro; a son Jack B. Potter, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; a sister Rachel Walls of Sharpsburg, GA; three brothers, Charles Cash of New Ellington, SC, Max Cash of Chesnee, SC and Billy Cash of Greenville, SC; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Emily Hull McGee officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, March 29, 2018 in Fredrick Memorial Gardens in Gaffney, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
