Mrs. Lucy Powell Reich, 97, of Winston-Salem died Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the home of her daughter, Christine. She was born July 8, 1916 in Stokes County, the daughter of the late, George Edmond and Mary Etta Adams Powell. Mrs. Reich was a member of Konnoak Baptist Church and was employed by R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company following 11 years of service. For a number of years she was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Reich and her grandson, Thomas C. White IV. Survivors include six children, Robert P. Reich of Salisbury, Steven J. Reich, Christine R. White, Rachel M. Reich, Merry M. Reich and Melody B. Reich all of Winston-Salem; three grandchildren, Angela McCrary, Renee Foster and Diahanne Reich; seven grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted Friday at 2:00 PM at Marvin United Methodist Church with Chaplain Wale Abe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
