Lucy Sullivan

Mrs. Lucy Joan Sullivan, 88 of Advance, passed away peacefully March 14, 2019 at her home. She was born on November 22, 1930 in Boston, Massachusetts to James and Margaret Preston.  She was preceded in death by husband Timothy Sr., son, Timothy Jr., grandson, Joshua Beam, sister, Margaret E. Manita, and brother James F. Preston Jr.  She is survived by children: Thomas (Karen), Theresa Beam (Joe), Terrance (Tammy), Margaret Smith (Randy), Michael (Cindy), daughter-in-law Mary Sullivan, fourteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and was thrilled to learn that her thirteenth is on the way.  She enjoyed playing golf.  She dedicated her life to being a wife and mother.  We will miss her quick wit and her unconditional love.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel.  A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday March 20, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, Clemmons, NC with Father Peter Nouck officiating and internment Thursday March 21, 2019 in the church columbarium.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 in honor of Lucy Joan Sullivan.  The family would like to extend a special thanks to Melinda Smith, Megan Pierce, Sue Mehta, and the Trellis Supportive Care Davie team for the wonderful care they provided.
