Mrs. Lula Caudle Cox, 101, entered her heavenly home Friday, January 11, 2019.  She was born October 19, 1917 in Forsyth County to the late Charlie R. and Martha K. Caudle.  On October 28, 1936, she married the late Coy S. Cox.  Mrs. Cox had been a faithful member of Marshall Baptist Church since 1946, where she served in the nursery over 50 years.  In 1952, she began working with Winston Printing Company and retired in 1980 with 28 years of service.  Mrs. Cox will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by a son, Charles “Butch” Cox; two sons-in-law, Jack M. Carter and Larry Fulp; four sisters: Anna Gordy, Margueritte Fishel, Lucille Kiger, and Betty Nelson; also, two brothers, Gray and Guy Caudle.  She is survived by three loving daughters: Faye Cox Fulp of Germanton, Anne Cox Bauguess of Ware Shoals, SC, and Nancy Cox Carter Griffin (Tommy) of Winston-Salem; ten grandchildren: Mark Fulp (Marlene), Jason Fulp (Jessica), Joanna Burcham (Seth), Mike Bauguess, Rodney Bauguess (Kim), Mickey  Bauguess, Todd Carter (Kelly), Terry Carter (Nikki), Tim Carter (Christy), and Judi Griffin; thirteen great-grandchildren: Justin Fulp (Alex), Jenna Stephenson (Tyler), Carson Fulp, Conner Fulp, Haley Burcham, Lance Burcham, Jessica Bauguess, Hunter Bauguess, Mikki Smith (Mills), Trent Carter (Michelle), Jarod Carter, Madison Grayce Carter, and Laurel Griffin; great-great-grandchildren: Lera and Beau Stephenson, and Bryce Smith; and many other nieces and nephews whom loved her very much.  A funeral service will be conducted 6:00 pm Tuesday, January 15, at Marshall Baptist Church with the Rev. John Holmes officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.  There will be a private graveside service held for the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Marshall Baptist Church, 5739 Old Rural Hall Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.  The family would like to extend a special thanks to Nancy Sherbino for the 4 ½ years of special care and love given to Maw Maw and to all the family and friends who made special visits and brought food. “Our loss is heaven’s gain.”
