Lula Frances Southern Montgomery

Mrs. Lula Frances Southern Montgomery, 84, passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 at Village Care of King. She was born in Stokes County on August 23, 1928 to the late Jesse Southern and Bessie Boles Southern. Mrs. Montgomery was a loving wife, mother, grandma, Maw-Maw and friend who will be missed deeply by all who knew her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Newell Jackson Montgomery Sr.. She is survived by a son, Newell Jackson Montgomery Jr. and wife Russie, two grandchildren, Leigh Montgomery Meeks and Newell Jackson Montgomery III (Stacy), three great-grandchildren, Jack Meeks, Meaghan Montgomery and Madelyn Montgomery. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 31, 2012 at Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem with Dr. Cecil Cave officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 Sunday evening at Mrs. Montgomery's home.
