Lydia "Becky" Rebecca Craven Hambrick

Mrs. Lydia “Becky” Rebecca Craven Hambrick, 90, passed away on March 20, 2026, at Rose Tara Senior Assisted Living in King. She was born on January 29, 1936, in Richmond County, NC to the late Alice Purser. Lydia enjoyed being outdoors, taking care of her yard, and bowling in her younger years. In her spare time, she would catch up with her friends and family on the telephone. Most of all, she loved babysitting and spending time with her family. Lydia was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Cicero Mabe, her second husband, Brian Hambrick, two brothers, Ray and Roger Craven, and one grandson, Justin Tyler Mabe. Lydia is survived by three sons, Bruce Mabe (Pam), Donnie Mabe (Terry), and Ronald Mabe (Donna), three grandchildren, Bruce Lee Mabe, Rebecca Mabe Hampton, and Kate Mabe, five great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, one brother, Bill Craven, and one sister, Betty Tarr. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday March 26, 2026, at Forsyth Memorial Park with Pastor Daryl Hampton officiating. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Rose Tara Assisted Living and Mountain Valley Hospice for their care of Lydia.
