Lynn Keeton

Lynn Dean Keeton, 71, of Farmington, NC, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the SECU Hospice House in Yadkinville.  Mr. Keeton was born in Forsyth County on January 26, 1947 to the late Lewis Mills Keeton and Mary Elsie Osborne Keeton.  Preceding him in death are three brothers, Louis Keeton, Glen Keeton (his twin), and John Keaton.  Mr. Keeton proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Vietnam War.  He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed helping others.  He kept a sense of humor throughout his sickness and his personality created an environment that showed he enjoyed life and being around people.  His favorite thing to do was to spend time with his grandsons.  He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Cooleemee.  Surviving is his wife of 48 years, Betty Norman Keeton of the home; daughter, Addie Walsh (Jonathan) of Mocksville; son, Matthew Keeton (Michelle) of Maiden; grandsons, Jackson Walsh, Franklin Walsh, and Dean Keeton; brothers, Martin Keeton (Jean) and Cleo Keeton; sisters, Ruby Boger and JoAnn Smith (Mike); also surviving are several nieces and nephews.   A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Pastor Shelby Harbour and Pastor Darrell Cox officiating.  Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.  The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 PM prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SECU Hospice Center, 243 N. Lee Avenue, Yadkinville, NC 27066 or to Victory Baptist Church, 160 Midway St. Cooleemee, NC 27014.  The family would like to thank all the SECU Hospice Caregivers for their care and compassion.
