Madan Lal Chatrath

Mr. Madan Lal Chatrath, 93, of Clemmons, peacefully left for his heavenly abode on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born September 2, 1924 in India, to the late Lala Chunilal Chatrath and Amrit Kaur Chatrath. He will always be remembered by family and friends as a beloved grandpa, dedicated husband, a committed father and a sincere saintly human being. He had his education in Amritsar, India and while completing his M.B.B.S studies was recruited by the British Army during the second world war. That was a surprise move and news to his father who found out after 7 months that his son was at the front of the war. Shortly after the war he joined civilian life as a Public Relations Officer and throughout his career establishing him in the circles as a man of high moral values and immense integrity. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sudarshan Kumari Kanoongo Chatrath and his brother, P.P. Singh Chatrath and two sisters, Krishna Seth and Preetam Trehan. Surviving are; a daughter, Rita Sehgal; two sons: Sudhir Chatrath and wife Neeta, and Ashok Chatrath and wife Nishi; six grandchildren: Sunana Chatrath, Neha Chatrath, Rani Chatrath, Neera Chatrath, Rakesh Sehgal, and Sabina Sehgal; two brothers, Ram Parkash Chatrath and wife, Padma of Chicago, IL and Dharampaul Chatrath of India. A Prayer Service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, September 1, 2018, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.Hayworth-Miller.com.
