Mrs. Maeola ""Macie"" Key, 91, of Winston-Salem, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Homestead Hills Assisted Living. She was born on November 7, 1924 in Stokes County to Effie Mae Caudle and Charlie D. Booze. Mrs. Key was a member of Central Terrace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with friends in the Homestead Hills community. She loved spending Sunday evenings eating at Mayberry's and K&W restaurants and she enjoyed spending long hours putting together jigsaw puzzles. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Shirley Ann White and Carla Jane Luper; three grandchildren, Clint, Wendy, and Todd; six brothers and three sisters. She is survived by one son, Charlie Key, Jr. and wife Karen of Winston-Salem; five grandchildren, Kim Luper, Josh White, Keegan White, Chase Key, and Andrew Key; two great grandchildren, Presley and Grayson; two sons-in-law, Odell White and Dan Luper; one brother, Jack Booze and wife Judy of East Bend; many nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held at Forsyth Memorial Park with Rev. John D. Rights officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
