Mrs. Maggie Ingool Bowers, 85, of Davidson County, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 22, 2018.

Maggie was born on March 29, 1932 in Wilkes County to Erta Alverta Ingool. She was a member of Grace Baptist Temple and loved the Lord. She did custom drapery for homes and businesses throughout the years.

The Lord called home a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She always put her family before herself.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her loving husband, Millard Bowers.

Surviving family includes her daughter, Donna Brown and husband Gary; a son, Douglas Bowers and wife Faye; granddaughter, Heather Brown; grandson, Daniel Bowers; and great-granddaughter, Kiley Bowers. They were the love of her life. Also surviving is her sister, Shirley Burrus and husband Mac of North Wilkesboro.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with Rev. Jim Bush officiating. Burial will follow the service at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
