Malcolm "Mal" Richard Fisher

Kernersville – Mr. Malcolm “Mal” Richard Fisher, 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at his residence. He was born on November 23, 1936, to Howard and Frieda Fisher in Lake County, Indiana. Mal was a very detail-oriented man. He earned his bachelor's degree from Perdue University and later earned his master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of New Mexico. Mal was such a kind man and to know him was to be encouraged by him. Becoming a Christian 50 years ago, Mal loved Jesus and enjoyed serving his churches and the people in them. He was a member of The Way Fellowship of the Triad in Kernersville. Mal was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Mal was preceded in death by one brother.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 45 years, Ginny Fisher; two sons, Chris Fisher and Joel Fisher (wife, Orna); and four grandchildren, Leah, Kyla, Ze’ev, and Raia Fisher.

A Celebration of Life for Mal will be held at 6:00 pm on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Main Street Baptist Church. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or to Samaritan’s Purse. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
