Mallie Holder Collins

King - Mallie Mae Holder Collins, 90, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Village Care of King Nursing Home. Mallie was born November 25, 1926 in Stokes County to Samuel Reid and Ella Mae Corder Holder. She was a charter and faithful member of Century Park Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. Mallie was a good, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was a dedicated Christian who loved others. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flowers. Mallie will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Mallie was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Collins Stafford; a grandson, Ronald Jessie, Jr.; three brothers, Junior Holder, Alfred Ray Holder, and Newell Gray Holder; and one sister, Dora Lee Green.
Surviving are two daughters, Ruth Collins Malloy (Glenn), and Betty Collins Gordon (Wayne); three sons, Sammy Lee Collins (Lisa), William Larry Collins, and Jeffrey Alan Collins (Dawn); 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Jean Ballard, and Shirley Ann Lawson; one brother, Jerry Wayne Holder; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Century Park Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
