Marcia Dawn Prause Byrd

Marcia Dawn (Prause) Byrd, 76, of Winston Salem, NC passed away suddenly Thursday, August 14th, 2025.

She was born July 22, 1949 in Muskegon County, MI to the late Eugene and Donna Prause. In 2003, she married the love of her life, Ray Byrd. Together they built the life she had always dreamt of, taking care of her home and her flowers and spending her days beside her husband.

She is survived by her husband Ray; her brother Robert (Jacqueline) Prause, and her children, Amy Judd, Donna (Demetri) Drosinis, and Darek and Samantha Judd; her grandchildren, Samantha King, Brittany (Zach) Badertscher, Dakota Cranfill, Melanie King, Carissa (Andrew) Dixon, Donovan Cranfill, Dylan King, Lily King, and Pavlos Drosinis; her great grandchildren Lydia, Cedar and Ophelia; two step-children, David and Daniel Judd and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

The depth of Marcia’s endless kindness and caring has left an impact on countless lives that she has touched and she will be missed beyond words.

Marcia’s life will be celebrated on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at 2pm at the Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home, Kernersville Chapel; 3950 Macy Grove Rd; Kernersville, NC 27284.
