Margaret Elizabeth Foster Barnes, 91, of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born September 10, 1923 in Forsyth County to Gerald Matthew and Bertie Freeman Foster. Margaret enjoyed traveling and being a hairdresser, where she made many friends at nursing homes and assisted living facilities. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike William Barnes, Sr., brothers, Bill, John, Garner, Steve and Porter Foster, and a sister Lola Foster Wood. Surviving are a daughter, Beverly Sharon Dorsett (Archie); a son, Mike William Barnes, Jr. (Annette); 4 granddaughters, Traci Leigh Dorsett Rutledge (Mark), Kelly Marie Barnes Thompson, Lisa Killinger (Eric) and Marcia Moore; 6 great grandchildren, Michael Thompson and Samantha Thompson, Hope and MaKenzie Killinger, Jessica and Kennedi Moore; a great great granddaughter, Phoebe Marie Harman; siblings, Lena Jane Foster Chitty, Estelle Foster Ziglar (Carlyle) and Frank Foster (Udine). A private family entombment will be held at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, W-S, N.C. 27103
