Margaret Blevins

Mrs. Margaret May Silver Blevins, 88, of Winston-Salem, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, December 14, 2017. She was born October 10, 1929, in Yancey County, to the late Mr. Vernie Lee Silver and Mrs. Dorothy Robinson Silver. Mrs. Blevins was a member of Vienna Baptist Church and was married to her husband for over forty years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Blevins loved her beloved cockapoo, Shasta. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, Mr. Bruce Donald Blevins, Sr., and two brothers, Lee Silver and Lawrence Silver. Surviving are two sons, Bruce Blevins and wife Gail of Clemmons, and Jackie Lee Blevins and wife Janice; three grandchildren, Jason Blevins, Kerry Blevins Morgan, and Heather Blevins Cureton; two great-grandchildren, Garret Morgan and Ella Brooke Morgan; and a brother, Richard "Dickie" Silver and wife Gayle of Liberty. A funeral service will be conducted in her honor, 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 17, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, officiated by Pastor Chris Byrne and Mr. Richard "Dickie" Silver. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior the service at the funeral home.
