Margaret Lennon

Margaret Carlene Paige Lennon, 80, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. The world is a darker place since our beloved has ascended to her heavenly home. Margaret, affectionately known as "Topsy", was born on March 23, 1938 in Roanoke, VA to Carl Eugene and Bertha Steelman Paige. Topsy graduated from Gray High School and retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco previously working for Hanes Dye and Finishing. Topsy worked at Sedge Garden Salvage Discount following retirement. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Lloyd F. Lennon; three children, Joey Lennon (June) of Walnut Cove, Stacy Lennon (Tonya) of Thomasville, and Tracy Jones (Jimmy) of Walnut Cove; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Anderson of Harmony and Frankie Edwards (Max) of Matthews.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Waughtown Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Brackett officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Waughtown Baptist Church, 1538 Waughtown St, Winston-Salem, NC 27107 or Cancer Services, 3175 Maplewood Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
