Margaret May

Margaret Brown May, 92, passed from this life on April 18, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born in Fayetteville, NC on September 30, 1925 to Bessie Caulk and Jessie Lee Brown. Margaret was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Margaret worked many years for the VFW and made many life long friends through the VA. Margaret maintained an extremely active life either traveling to the lake house or entertaining at the barbecue pit and swimming pool. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Jack F. May; son, Steven K. May; and grandson, Drew McNeil Cheatwood. She is survived by two daughters, Donna May Cheatwood (V), Deborah May Schaeffer; grandchildren, Derek May, Brannon May (Candice), Ryan Cheatwood, Ashley Schaeffer, Kaylee Schaeffer and Tyler Schaeffer; and one sister, Mary Woodruff. A celebration of life will be held at Trinity Methodist Church on Country Club Road on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 3:00 PM. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
