Margaret Elaine Stewart

Belews Creek - Margaret Elaine Stewart, 67, of Belews Creek went home to be with the Lord, on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Born in Lenior, NC, she was the daughter of the late Jim Chester of Lenior, NC, and the late Margaret Williams of Rock Hill, SC. Elaine was the beloved wife of Walter Stewart of the home. Walter and Elaine were married for 49 years. Elaine attended Northwoods Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Surviving are two daughters, Kelley Hardin (and Jimmy) of Smyrna, SC, and Karen Britton (and Tom) of King, NC; her only son, Michael Stewart (and Christine) of Winston-Salem, NC; her only grandchild of whom she was very proud, Miss Brooke Harrison; her only sister, Johnsie Robinson (and Jim) of Rock Hill, SC; as well as and ten nieces and nephews. Elaine was a loyal employee of Walmart of Kernersville where she was employed for ten years as a door greeter. Prior to her employment at Walmart, she worked at Pell Care as a Head Cook for ten years. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Northwoods Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, with Rev. Jim Thompson officiating.
