Margie Clodfelter Sink

Margie Clodfelter Sink, 89, of Hickory Tree Road, Midway, NC died Friday, May 17, 2013 at Lexington Health Care. She was born February 2, 1924 in Forsyth County to the late James Paul Clodfelter,Sr. and Kathleen Nifong Clodfelter. She married Raymond John Sink on December 24, 1943 and they raised their three children in Midway. Margie contributed during WWII, working at Hanes Hosiery. She was a tireless worker throughout her middle years in support of family and friends, family businesses, her beloved Hebron United Church of Christ and the Midway community. Margie's rewards in life came from her offering of warmth and support to all in times of joy and sadness through smiles, hugs, and food. She was selfless and generous with all her worldly possessions. You were always welcome in her home and at her table. It will be missed. Margie loved gardening, flowers, and yard work. She was an avid fan of NASCAR, the Braves, and college basketball. She mostly enjoyed time spent with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, James Ray Clodfelter; and two sisters, Joan Steelman and Opal Vestal. Survivors include; three children, Brenda Leonard and husband, David, of Midway, NC; Sandra Morgan and husband, Mark, of Raleigh, NC; Johnny Sink and wife, Dawn, of Midway, NC; seven grandchildren, Joseph Leonard and wife, Diane; Connie Leonard Mull and husband, Rusty; Jacob Morgan and wife, Jennifer: Anna Morgan: Crystal Sink, Heather Sink and Jared Sink; four great-grandchildren, Hannah Leonard; Sarah Leonard, Scotti Long; and David Morgan; and two brothers, Rev. JP Clodfelter, Jr. and wife, Marlana; and Charles Clodfelter and wife, Judy; and good friend and companion, Donald Hines. A graveside service will be conducted at 2pm on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Hebron United Church of Christ Midway, NC officiated by Rev. Jim Luck. The family will gather in the Fellowship Hall, to greet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, Suite 200, Bethesda, Maryland, 20814.
