WINSTON-SALEM - Margie ""Lucille"" McPeak Skelton, 88, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013. She was born March 30, 1925 in Monroe Co., WV to the late Charlie Greene and Clara May Trenor McPeak. Lucille was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church. She loved growing flowers and was a natural and loving caregiver to many, especially children. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Skelton; sister, Julia Horton; brother, Elwyn McPeak; and infant brother, Jack McPeak. Surviving are her three children, Norma Everhart (Rick) of Winston Salem, Robert Skelton (Sue) of Florence, SC, Linda Beauchamp (Arnold) of Lewisville; grandchildren, Terri Stinson (Rick) of Kernersville, Christy Tracy of Sanford, Doug Beauchamp (Rachel) of Winston Salem, Grant Skelton (Rebecca) of Florence, SC; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Charles McPeak (Edith) of Walkertown; sisters, Betty Cline of Bluefield, WV, Doris Whitman (William) of Winston Salem, and Janie Volpe (Herman) of Winston Salem; sister-in-law, Charlotte Blankenship of Peterstown, WV. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Gospel Light Baptist Church with Dr. Bobby Roberson and Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2013 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.
