Maria Fairchild

Mrs. Maria Knight Fairchild, 78, passed away Tuesday November 15, 2022, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Homes. She was born on February 8, 1944, to the late June Robert Knight and Ruby Little Knight. Maria is survived by her loving husband, Timothy Gray Fairchild; her two children June Michelle (Lee) Mabe of Madison, NC, and David Alexander (Wendy) Gurley Jr. of Princeton, NC; two stepchildren, Valerie Yvonne (Darin) Redmon of Walkertown, NC, and Jesse Gray (Angie) Fairchild of Walkertown, NC; and grandchildren Katie Gurley, Chris Gurley, Braxton Fairchild, Gavin Fairchild, Grace Redmon, and Tegin Redmon; great grandchild Bennett Gurley; one brother, Ken Turpin; nephew Taylor (Kristin) Turpin; great niece Henley; and her beloved Scottish Terriers Little Scarlett and Lu Lu. A funeral service will be held at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel on Friday November 18, 2022, with ­­­­­Pastor Angie Toth officiating. The family will receive guests from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Friday immediately prior to the service.
