Marie "Jackie" Antoinette Sparnicht

Marie Antoinette “Jackie” Sparnicht died peacefully on August 8, 2026, at the age of 88.

Jackie was born in New York and spent her childhood years in Grand Falls, Canada. Throughout her life, she filled many roles and shared many talents. She was an avid gardener and reader, a fantastic cook, a medical technician and phlebotomist, a volunteer librarian, and a talented seamstress, ceramicist, and doll maker. Above all, she was a best friend, wife, mother, aunt, and lovingly, Grandma Jackie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roderick Edward Sparnicht.

Jackie is survived by her brother, Peter Mazerolle; her five children, Roderick Henry Sparnicht, Justin Phillip Sparnicht, Christopher William Sparnicht, Jennifer Lynne Sparnicht, and Nicholas Edward Sparnicht; and their loving families.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
