Marie Scott Stoltz Pinnix

Mrs. Marie Scott Stoltz Pinnix, age 83 of Winston-Salem went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, August 20, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Pinnix was born in Surry County, August 20, 1929 to Rassie and Sadie Ella Warden Scott. She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem and also attended Northwoods Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. Marie loved her church and her church family. She believed in the power of prayer and the love of her Lord. She will be greatly missed by her family and all the friends that surrounded her. In addition to her parents Marie was preceded in death by her first husband: Joseph B. Stoltz and Dixie Pinnix. Two sisters: Ruby Rogers and Ella Mae Smith. Also one brother; Charles Franklin Scott. Mrs. Pinnix is survived by her son; Benny (Mechele) Stoltz of Winston-Salem; and her daughter; Sue (Tim) Nichols of Huntersville Five grandchildren; Chris Presnell, Joey (Brandi) Presnell, Holly Ann (Bryan) Hedgecock, Brad Stoltz and Fiancée Ashley and Wesley (Jodi) Stoltz. Seven great-grandchildren: Luke, Jeb, Clara, Hank, Cora, Baby Stoltz and Wyatt. One brother; Conrad (Joyce) Scott of Walkertown. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Pinnix will be held Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Rural Hall by Rev. Bill Currie. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening August 22nd from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
