Marilyn Anne Franz Setele

KERNERSVILLE- Marilyn Anne Setele, 80, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, on April 2, 1944, to the late Albert and Mildred Franz. On July 29, 1972, Marilyn happily wed the love of her life of 52 years, Richard Setele. She was a kind and giving soul who dedicated more than 40 years of her life as a teacher. She loved her work and will be remembered fondly by many of her students. You could always find Marilyn amid one of her many hobbies, including, but not limited to, needlepoint, tending to flowers, and watching mystery shows. She also enjoyed sewing and graciously donated the clothing she made to children overseas who were in need. Marilyn will be missed by many who knew and loved her.

In addition to her loving husband, Richard, she is survived by her son, Mark Setele (Cathy); two grandchildren, Jake and Madison Setele; as well as a brother, Dwight Franz (Christie).
