Mark Pendry Pegg, 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by those he loved on Monday, April 15, 2024. He was born in Guilford County on November 23, 1958, to the late Charles Leo Pegg and Mildred Bolen Pegg. Mark will be remembered for many different things. He was an avid fisherman, and spent many hours with treasured friends and family, fishing. Mark was a dedicated employee of Guilford County Schools for the past 11 years. He was also very fond of sports of all kinds, particularly tennis and softball, and he thoroughly enjoyed officiating baseball and basketball games. He was a die-hard Carolina Tar Heels and Dodgers fan. Mark was very close to The Lord. He loved preaching The Bible and ministering to others. Most of all, Mark had an intense love for his family. He was fiercely loyal to them and would do anything to help his family. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him. 

In addition to his parents, Mark is preceded in death by his siblings, Charles “Chuck” Pegg, Curt Pegg, Joe Pegg, Patricia “Pat” Pegg, and Dwight “Bubba” Pegg.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving sister, Betty P. Easter, as well as many special nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family members, and friends. 

A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. A private interment will follow at a later date.
