Mark Steven Richardson, 66, of Lexington, North Carolina, passed away on March 15, 2026, in the company of loved ones.
Mark was a devoted husband, father, brother, and proud PaPa. He is survived by his wife, Marisa Richardson; his son, Adam Richardson, Adam’s wife, Alyssa, and their daughter, Aubrey; and his daughter, Jessica Tibbs, Jessy’s husband, Geof, and their sons, Arlo, Bodie, and Shepherd. He was preceded in death by his mother Julia Ann Richardson and his father James Hobert Richardson.
Above all, Mark was a family man. He was fluent in sarcasm, honest to a fault, and always ready with a story. Beneath his sharp wit was a deeply kind soul who would do anything for the people he loved, especially his family. He had a gift for cutting through the unnecessary, focusing on what truly mattered, and helping find a way forward in any situation. To those who knew him best, he was a trusted confidant, a loving husband, father, and PaPaw; someone whose strength and presence could always be counted on.
He appreciated quality in all things and believed deeply in the value of hard work and personal responsibility. More importantly, he taught those values not just with words, but by the way he lived every day. The example he set and the love he gave will remain with his family always.
Mark will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
A celebration of life service will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, 3315 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to the Ronald McDonald House of Winston-Salem.
