Mark Andrew Stewart

Mr. Mark Andrew Stewart, 59, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born in Forsyth Co. on September 2, 1954 the son of the late Cecil Thomas Stewart Sr. and Dorothy Rivers Stewart. Mark was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co with 39 ½ years of service and was currently employed by Armstrong International as a utilities operator. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time at Emerald Isle. Mark was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed deeply by all who knew him. He is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Mary H. Stewart, his son, Jonathan Mark Stewart, a grandson, Gavin Mark Stewart, four sisters, Pamela Baggett (Robert), Patricia Martin (Donald), Susan Stewart and Lisa Winfree (Mark) and two brothers, Cecil Thomas ""Tommy"" Stewart Jr. and Jeffrey Stewart (Deborah). Mark is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2013 at Pfafftown Christian Church with Judith Pittman, Chaplin officiating. Entombment will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 Sunday evening at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
