Mrs. Marlene Halstad Keiser, age 86 of Bermuda Village, passed away peacefully at home on, Friday, September 13, 2024. Marlene was born January 16, 1938 in Duluth, MN. to the late Al and pearl Halstad.
She is preceded in death by her father Al Halstad and her mother and stepfather Pearl and Walt Tolo, brother-in-law Rob and her husband of 62 years, Kimberly Joel Keiser. Surviving are her two sons, Kristopher J Keiser, Sr. (Tricia), their children Kristopher J Keiser, Jr (Sarah) Winston- Salem, NC, Mary Freemon Keiser Sullivan (Willie) Raleigh NC, Sarah Keiser Beaman (Cameron) Raleigh, NC and son Kurtis Jon Keiser, Sr. (Pamela) Clemmons, NC and their children Kurtis Jon Keiser, Jr, (Shelby Lee) Wilmington, NC, Alexandra Keiser Martin (Billy) Davie, NC. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, Jaxson and Foster Martin, Charlotte and Margaret Keiser, and Ted and Louise Sullivan and Kirby Keiser
She is also survived by her brother-in-law David and sisters-in-law Debbie and Barb Keiser of Minnesota and many nieces and nephews.
Marlene was raised in Duluth where she met her husband Kim. After they married, they move many times for Kim’s jon and eventually ended up in Bermuda Run, NC. Marlene enjoyed tennis, golf, and bridge with many close girlfriends. She also enjoyed volunteering for many year at the Crosby Golf Tournament held at BRCC. Marlene was always smiling and never met a stranger. Having both grown up in Minnesota, Marlene and Kim bought a summer home in Duluth overlooking Lake Superior. They spent every summer enjoying the views and getting together with their Minnesota friends. One of Malene’s favorite volunteer positions was being a Tour Guide on a bus that toured Visitors around the beautiful landmarks around Duluth. Marlene also enjoyed painting beautiful pictures and bird houses.
Marlene love spending times with her family and friends especially her grandchildren and Great grandchildren. She love to tell them about her bridge games and how she usually was the Grand winner of the one dollar!
We will all miss her infectious smile and laugh.
