Marlene Harris Page

Mrs. Marlene Harris Page, 81, passed away after a brief illness. She was born on July 18, 1935 to Myrtle Lovelace Harris and William Harris. She was raised in Raleigh and Cary. Marlene was a graduate of Cary High School and attended Hardbarger Business College. She was a faithful member of Peace Haven Baptist Church for 48 years where she sang in the choir and served in many other capacities. Marlene was a cheerful daughter, cherished wife, devoted mother and beloved grandmother. She was a generous and affectionate friend. Marlene was passionate about music, books, classic movies and travel and inspired her family to expand their horizons in all these areas of life. She had a sharp mind, quick wit and contagious laugh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Doris Harris (William) and Laverne Stevenson (Hubert); and her grandson, Jason Fox. Marlene is survived by her husband of 62 years, Craven; daughters, Barbara Page and Andrea Fox (Brian); her grandchildren, Anne Langley (Sam), Austin Buri, Victoria Buri, Leah Fox, Adam Fox; her great grandchildren, Jessica Langley, Dylan Langley and Edwin Langley; great-great grandchild, Tripp Tobler; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, July 3, 2017 at Peace Haven Baptist Church, 3384 York Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM at the church prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Peace Haven Baptist Church at the above address.
