Martha Anne Patrick

Mrs. Martha Anne Shulleeta Patrick, 88, passed away at home on February 18, 2024. Martha Anne was born to William A. Shulleeta, Sr  and Helen Cecilia Stupasky Shulleeta on November 29, 1935, in Richmond, VA.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Eugene Patrick; her brother Thomas A Shulleeta and his wife Sue. Surviving are her children, Michael Patrick and  his wife Cindy, Martin Patrick, Leigh Ann Williams and her husband Don, Kelly Graham and her husband Frank, and Whitney Phillips; grandchildren, Drew Patrick, Lee Garnett Patrick and Patrick Phillips; her brother William A. Shulleeta, Jr and his wife Ginger. After moving to Winston-Salem, NC in September of 1967, her family settled in Ardmore and she has loved this neighborhood so much. She has been a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church since moving to Winston-Salem.  Martha Anne was a dedicated phlebotomist and worked for N.C.  Baptist Hospital for 30 years and retired there.  Her interests included flowers and nature; she was an excellent crossword solver and an avid reader. Martha Anne dearly loved her children and grandchildren and always enjoyed time spent with family.  A funeral mass will be held  at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church February 26, 2024 at 11 A.M. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.
