Martha "Marti" Lee Kasnic

Martha Lee “Marti” (Spadinger) Kasnic passed peacefully at the age of 86 on Friday, July 25, 2025, with her loving husband, George. by her side.

Marti was born on March 6, 1939, in Kenmore, NY to the late Paul Spadinger and Margaret (Rose) Spadinger. Marti graduated from Mt. St. Mary’s High School, attended Albany University and graduated from St. Joseph’s College in Emmitsburg, MD with a degree in Sociology. Marti worked as a social worker, teacher and billing specialist at an ophthalmology and pediatric dental practice.

Marti was a sports enthusiast, especially college football. She and George could be found in front of the TV every Saturday cheering for their favorite teams. Marti (aka the Email Queen) loved being online! She met and developed friendships with many people across the U.S. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and devoted cat caretaker. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marti’s memory may be sent to Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah or the Alzheimer’s Association.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Allen Spadinger.

She is survived by her loving husband, George Kasnic, Jr.; sons, Paul Bogenrieder and wife Nancy and Mark Bogenrieder and wife Kellie; and grandchildren, Elizabeth Bogenrieder Hall and Neil Richard Bogenrieder. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Josephine (Benenati) Spadinger, Helen Quick (Raymond) and Barbara Beal (Lee); six nieces and two nephews.

Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the family.
