Martha White

Martha Hackett White, 76, went to meet her Lord on Friday, February 22, 2019 at her home.

Martha was born on September 2, 1942 in Forsyth County to Quincy and Alice Hackett.

She enjoyed cross stitching and spending time in her yard gardening. Martha also enjoyed trips to the mountains with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Linda Gammon and Frances Landrome; one brother, Charles Hackett; and a grandson, Brian White.

Surviving family includes her devoted husband of 53 years, Bill White; three children, Marty White (Lynette), Greg White (Angie) and Melissa White (Steve Gregg); two grandchildren, Chrystal White & Samantha Gregg ; two great-grandchildren, Noah Harden & Graeson White; four step-grandchildren, Charity, Alan, Josh & Ashley; five siblings, Leroy Hackett, Frankie Hackett, Don Hackett, Debbie Zimmerman and Nancy Hackett; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Open Door Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, with Pastor Don Hackett officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
