Marvin "Marty" Fenyves

Marvin “Marty” Fenyves, 82, of Winston-Salem, NC, formerly of Canon City, CO, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 1, 2025.

Marty was born on May 27, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Joseph and Martha Cohen. He spent much of his career in construction but found deep joy supporting his wife, Nancy, in her live theater productions. A talented actor and performer in his own right, Marty played a key role in the planning and creative process behind the scenes. He also shared an office with Nancy’s accounting firm, where he was a friendly and familiar face to clients.

A car enthusiast, Marty loved driving his classic ’59 Studebaker with the wind in his hair, and a smile on his face. He was a devoted member of St. Michael’s Church in Canon City, where he sang in the choir and volunteered with the Emmaus Retreat ministry.

Marty was deeply loved and will be truly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Mike Fenyves, and Marvin Fenyves; and sisters, Goldie and Leslie.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Nancy Fenyves; his daughter, Chris Kilkinney; son, Mark Fenyves; and sisters Marsha Liddy (Bob), Faith Barnett, and Mary Kruenburg.

A private memorial service will be held by the family at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Winston-Salem. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the family. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
