Kernersville - Marvin Robah Wilson, 85, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Marvin was born on March 14, 1932 in Forsyth County, North Carolina to Cletus Ray and Nellie Bodenhamer Wilson. He was a Veteran of the US Army and retired from AT&T. Marvin was a member of the local VFW, Kernersville Moose Lodge, and the AT&T Pioneers. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of the Pleasure Riders. Marvin was a handyman and could fix anything for anybody, always with a smile on his face. In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his brothers, George, Billy and Ray Wilson; and one sister, Martha Ann Calhoun. Surviving are his wife, Patricia "Honey" Whicker Wilson; brothers, Roger Wilson (Imogene), David Wilson (Doris) and Jerry Wilson; sisters, Sadie Gortman, Dorothy Wilson, Alice Shore, and Linda Glascoe; and several loving nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Richard Loman officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory.
