Mary O'Ferrell Bodenhamer

Mrs. Mary O'Ferrell Bodenhamer, 93, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Bodenhamer was born on November 19, 1921 in Forsyth County to the late George T. O'Ferrell and Metta Davis O'Ferrell. Mary was a long-time faithful member of Fairview Moravian Church. She was also a member of U.C.T. of America. Mary retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company where she worked in the public relations department. Mary enjoyed gardening, dancing, traveling to the North Carolina coast and White Lake, NC. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bodenhamer was preceded in death by her first husband, Vance Lewis Bodenhamer and her second husband, William E. ""Dub"" Snyder, Jr.; two brothers, Glenn Davis O'Ferrell and Robah Lee ""R.L."" O'Ferrell; one sister, Nellie Marie O'Ferrell; and two sisters-in-law, Alta Reed O'Ferrell and Betty Bodenhamer Warner. Mrs. Bodenhamer is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Bodenhamer Dahmer and husband, Wayne and Kim LeAnne Bodenhamer Hamilton; one son, Wayne Lewis Bodenhamer and wife, Jane; four grandchildren, Michael Dahmer, Kelly Dahmer, Linda Bodenhamer Whittall and husband, David and Michael Lawson; three great-grandchildren, Reid Elizabeth Dahmer, Addison Lynn Dahmer and Ian Michael Dahmer; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mary will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Arkon Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Kate B.
