Mary Minifee 'Fee' Crotts

CROTTS Mrs. Mary Minifee ""Fee"" Crotts, 87, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born August 1, 1924 in Forsyth County to Luther Paul and Flossie Carter, the third born of eight siblings. Mrs. Crotts was a member in long standing of Christ Wesleyan Church. She spent most of her life as a loving and devoted caregiver of five children and her husband who was a quadriplegic for 24 years. She married William Vonduran Crotts on April 24, 1942 and they celebrated 47 years together before his death in December 1989. Surviving are her five children, Billie Gail Crotts Smothers, Michael Vonduran Crotts, Barbara Crotts Stone, Tammie Crotts Brown, and Teri Crotts Brown; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one brother, Billy Wayne Carter; and one sister, Lois Carter Snider. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Torrey Easler officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 - 1:40 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
