Mary "Deany" West Dillon

Mary Elizabeth ""Deany"" West Dillon, 92, of Kernersville, NC, passed away peacefully with family by her side, on Monday, September 5, 2016 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Deany was born on August 10, 1924 in Forsyth County to George Willis and Carrie Irwin West. She loved her children and her grandchildren. Deany was the best mother, and grandmother. In addition to being a wonderful homemaker, Deany worked at Foryth Hospital Gift Shop. In addition to her parents, Deany was preceded in death by four siblings, Louise Ingram, Nancy Voss, Nina Smith; and William West; and her beloved poodle, Booger. She is survived by six children, Tony Dillon (Toni), Kay Dillon, George Dillon (Jane), Mary Lu Spake (Danny), Gail Wisniewski (Mike), and Penny Loy (George); nine grandchildren, Andi, Ashley, Mary Ann, Georgia, Beth, David, Michael, Matthew, and Jackson; and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Nellie Graves and Ruby Beeson. The family would also like to express their gratitude to Vanda L. Johnson as a loving and dedicated caregiver. A private graveside service will be conducted for Deany. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care at 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC, 27103. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the Dillon Family.
