Mary Godfrey Riddle

Mrs. Mary Godfrey Riddle, 86, of Advance, NC passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

Mary was born August 23, 1939, in Harnett County, NC to Earnest Howard Godfrey and Mammie Morrison Godfrey. Mary was a member of Macedonia Moravian Church and the Women’s Fellowship. She retired in 2002 from Lexington Home Brands Furniture. Mrs. Riddle was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry Wayne Riddle Sr; a sister, Doris Bolin and a brother, Howard B. Godfrey.

Mary is survived by her two sons, Jerry Riddle, Jr. (Melinda) and Howard Riddle (Maria); six grandchildren -Karis, Allison, Madison, Alexis, Sarah and Jason; one great granddaughter -Hadley and one brother, Jerry Godfrey.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at Macedonia Moravian Church located at 700 NC Highway 801 Advance with Pastor David Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2026 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to Macedonia Moravian Church in Mary’s honor.
