Mary Stewart

KERNERSVILLE –Mary Haneline Stewart, 74, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mary was born on September 25, 1944 in Forsyth County to Charlie Eugene and Lorine Whitt Haneline. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She retired after 34 years of service as Church Secretary of Waughtown Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Darius Stewart.

Surviving are two sons, Christopher Stewart and Kenny Stewart (Angie); one grandson, Evan Stewart; two sisters, Shirley Davis and Betty Hicks; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Billy Hicks officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
