Mary Louise Akers Locklear

Mrs. Mary Louise Akers Locklear, 59, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Locklear was born in Virginia on November 18, 1956. Mrs. Locklear was preceded in death by her father, Amos Crumpton, Jr.. Mary is survived by her children, Karen Rachel, Luther Rachel, Denise Rachel, and Carolyn Jones and husband, Nathan; fifteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her mother, Mamie Jackson Akers; three brothers, two sisters and two sisters-in-law. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
