Mary Lou Davis Loeser

Mary Lou Davis Loeser, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and faithful servant of the Lord, went home to be with her Savior on September 30,2026, at the age of 83. She was born on June 28,1943 to the late John and Delphine Neimieir Davis. Mary Lou is proceeded in death by her parents, her loving sister Joyce Bratcher, her favorite brother John Davis Jr, and a special nephew Jeff Thornhill.

Mary Lou devoted more than 35 years of her life to the healthcare profession as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Caring for others was more than a career for her, it was a calling. Throughout her many years of service, she received numerous commendations in recognition of her hard work, dedication and dependability. She was loved and respected by both her coworkers and the many patients she cared for. Her gentle and caring heart made a lasting difference in the lives of those she served.

Mary Lou was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in King for 30 years. Her love for the Lord was an important part of her life. She enjoyed serving him in many ways. She especially loved participating in the nursing home ministry, where she had the opportunity to minister to others. She was faithful in her churches Scripture project, helping share Gods’s word with others around the world. She enjoyed being part of the Young at Heart group, where she made lasting friendships.

Perhaps her greatest joy was her family. Mary Lou was a loving mother to three children, Sharon Galyean (Eddie), Robert Loeser (Lois) and Tina Loeser Armstrong. She was a proud grandmother to 11 Grandchildren- David, Bobby, Courtney, Josh, Genna, Miranda, Ryan, Chase, Spencer, Katie and Cassie and beloved great-grandmother to 19 great grandchildren.

Her family will miss the little things that made her mom and grandma. They will miss her presence, her familiar voice, her stories, her humor, and simply knowing she was there. We will miss the women who spent so much of her life taking care of everyone. Most of all, we will miss being able to call her “Mom” or “Bammaw ” and know she was only a phone call away.

Mary Lou lived a life of hard work, faith, service and love. She spent more than three decades caring for other people’s loved ones, served her church faithfully, and loved her own family with a mother’s heart. She left behind a legacy that cannot be measured by accomplishments or awards, but by the lives she touched and the people who loved her.

Though our hearts are broken because we have to say goodbye, we are thankful for the years God gave us with her. We are thankful for every memory, every laugh, every lesson and every moment we were blessed to call her mom, Grandma and Great- Grandma.

She is now home with the Lord she loved and served. We find comfort in knowing that this goodbye is not forever.

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints” Psalm 116:15(KJV)

Until we see you again, Mom, you will always be loved, always be remembered and forever be a part of our hearts.
