Mary Remsburg

Mrs. Mary Frances Keene Remsburg, 90, of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. She was born May 18, 1927 in Four Oaks, NC, the daughter of the late, Ira Walter and Sarah LuFrieze Stroupe Keen. Mrs. Remsburg was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church. She received her BA Degree from Meredith College and taught accounting, shorthand and typing at Campbell College and Charlotte National School of Commerce. She was a tour guide at Old Salem for 20 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Robert L. Remsburg, Jr., one brother and two sisters. Survivors include one daughter, Sarah Remsburg Fix and husband, Thomas Fix; one son, Robert Lewis Remsburg, III and wife, Tammi Sellati Remsburg; two grandsons, Alexander Remsburg and Stephen Remsburg; one brother, Ira Walter Keen, Jr. one brother in law, Clark Latrobe Remsburg and wife, Joyce Remsburg; a number of beloved nieces and nephews; and many wonderful friends and neighbors including the staff & "crew" at WFUBMC Cardiac Rehab. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Randy Harris officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
