Mary Ruth Tucker Stack

Mary Ruth Tucker Stack, 97, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Countryside Menor Community Living. She was born to the late Hery Clay Tucker and Annie King Tucker on February 23, 1929, in Guilford County, NC.

Mary found much delight in flower gardening and cooking. She took great pride in having an immaculately clean home and kept track of many files while working as an accountant. 

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Harold Stack; siblings, Cora Pegram, Nellis Tucker, Thelma Atchison, Tommy Tucker, Opal Simmons, Ersell Mills, Muriel Stafford, and Betty Robinson.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Stack; granddaughter, Caroline Jennings; and great-granddaughter, Adaline Jennings.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Shady Grove Wesleyan Church Cemetery. Officiating the service is Pastor Allen Casstevens.

Memorials may be made in honor of Mary to Hospice of the Piedmont at 1801 Westchester Dr, High Point, NC 27262.
