Mary Margaret Stratta

Mrs. Mary Margaret Stratta, 74, of Winston-Salem passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Stratta was born in Bronx, NY to Bernard F. and Mary Margaret Towey Fagan. Mrs. Stratta was a spiritual person who believed in simplicity. She enjoyed the little things in life; taking walks and playing cards with friends and family. Her first priority was her family, whom she cared for deeply. Mrs. Stratta was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Catherine Spitzer; a niece, Kimberly Bachman; a stepdaughter, Dina Hubert; and a sister-in-law, Rina Stratta. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Dino Stratta; two daughters, Christina Reynolds of Roanoke, VA, and Donna Engel of Naples, FL; a son, Mark Bernstein of San Clemente, CA; six grandchildren, Amanda, Noelle, and Nicholas Hubert, Aubrey and Hunter Engel and Peyton Bernstein; a sister, Ann Gogel of Winston-Salem; and two nieces, Mary Myers of Kernersville, and Beth Gogel of NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 pm Friday, March 21, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Stephen Hoyt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
