Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Ledbetter Wilson, 90, of Winston-Salem passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at Trinity Elms Health and Rehab. She was born July 2, 1928 in Randolph County, the daughter of the late James Paul and Allie Steed Hinshaw Ledbetter. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Trinity Moravian Church and a graduate of James A. Gray High School. She was Office Manager for Dr. Gordon Early for twenty-three years. On April 6, 1952 she married Edward Russel Wilson. Following their divorce, she raised her two sons alone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Tom Grover and her siblings and their spouses, Paul (Eleanor), Helen (Ralph) and Bobby (Jackie). Survivors include two sons, Richard “Rick” Wilson (Debra) of Howell, Michigan and Jeffrey Wilson (Jeffrey Seleb) of Chicago, Illinois; six grandchildren, Matthew, Matt, Meredith, Elizabeth, Andrew and Emma; twelve great grandchildren; two special nieces, Bonnie and Beverly and a special friend, Sally. A graveside service will be conducted Monday, March 4, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Salem Moravian Graveyard with Rev. John Jackman officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Trinity Moravian Church, 220 East Sprague Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27127. The arrangements are by Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
